Holding kava strainer over the bowl of water add 2-3 tablespoons of Kava Tonga.

Tie or twist the top of your kava strainer closed and push out all the air.

Knead the strainer bag of kava in the water. Continue to knead the kava strainer

bag massaging it as it mixes in the bowl. Be careful to keep kava root fibers

contained in the bag.  After a 5-10 minutes of kneading, give the bag one final

squeeze emptying as much remaining liquid from the bag into the bowl. If desired

leave the root in the bag and set aside for a second wash (brew).

If you prefer kava chilled refrigerate or throw in a few ice cubes and enjoy!

Kava Tonga is traditionally made with room temperature water although we

recommend using warm water to help emulsify the kavalactones. For maximum

effects kava is best consumed on an empty stomach. Some Pacific islanders are

known to eat fruits, sweets, or chips while enjoying kava.
